The room ensures a world-class listening environment. Designed by Pilchner Schoustal International and certified by Dolby for 5.1 print mastering of feature films, the room is unique. It has been designed for dual mixing positions, with one position for feature film mixing and another for television and music mixing.
To accomplish this the room has been outfitted with an array of 11 Genelec speakers plus one Genelec Subwoofer. 5.1 Monitoring is done via a Martinsound MultiMax. Dolby equipment includes a DP 569 digital encoder, an SEU 4 encoder and a DP 564 decoder. Video projection is to a Stewart Micro-perf screen. The focus of the mixing system is a Pro Tools HD3 on a G5 with a Control 24 control surface, providing massive amounts of processing power. The patchbay is wired to easily interface control room B's identical Pro Tools system for mixes with 2 engineers.
