“Freddie” has been in broadcasting since 1979. He started his career at CKND (Global Winnipeg) and worked his way up as one of their EFP shooters. His years at Global were a great training ground, as Fred learned to “do it all”. In 1992 Fred began working with Midcan, and has since traveled around the world as a well respected camera operator and DOP. He is often called upon to shoot sports, weather, commercial and corporate projects. Fred has also worked on many television series and documentaries, and occasionally steps out from behind the camera to Direct or AD. Fred will be covering his 5th Olympic Games in 2010.
